Exceptional dining with stunning views

From the moment I entered the Hyatt Regency Kinabalu, exceptional dining options awaited me. The intercontinental breakfast was a delightful spread, complemented by authentic local pastries that brought me joy. The staff, always ready to assist, made my stay feel even more special. My large room was tastefully decorated, offering a splendid sea view that made waking up each day a treat.

Room service prices on Malaysian food options were quite steep compared to quality!!! Also, the unwelcoming reception experience regarding paid bookings puts a damper on the overall experience.

The room impressed me with its size, featuring a generous desk, a powerful shower, and great tea/coffee facilities. I loved the breakfast buffet. for just RM40, the variety was incredible, with everything from local to international dishes. The location made it easy to access bars, restaurants, and shopping malls, all within walking distance. I appreciated the attentive staff who ensured I had extra drinking water every day. However, the pool felt a bit exposed to neighboring buildings, lacking privacy. Additionally, no filtered water facilities were available, which led to reliance on plastic bottles. Despite these minor inconveniences, the overall experience was enjoyable.

I had a great 3-night stay here! The room I got was clean and spacious with a nice city view. The daily housekeeping was on point, and I was particularly impressed by Emily at the Club-she was super attentive. Breakfast had a decent variety, but nothing too exciting. Loved the friendly atmosphere!

Make use of the free luggage storage behind reception if you plan to explore more after checking out.

The hotel is conveniently located next to the jetty, making it perfect for enjoying the breathtaking sunsets. I appreciated the clean and spacious room, complete with large glass bottles of drinking water available for refreshing hydration after a day out exploring. Plus, the proximity to good eateries and local markets was a delightful surprise for delicious dining options.

Family with children escape

The staff were really good. They knew exactly how to, especially the kids. The huge lobby, I mean, there's this grand piano just sitting there, too bad they didn't let us play it. And let’s not forget the sea view from our room, it's amazing during sunset, trust me!

It wasn't cheap but still tolerable.

I had an incredible stay! The private check-in on the 13th floor was a breeze, and the evening snacks were delightful. Plus, the club access drinks were an unexpected treat! Unfortunately, the evening crowd made it a bit noisy, but I'd definitely return!

Our honeymoon at hyatt regency exceeded our expectations! The spacious king room with an ocean view was lovely, especially during sunset. The breakfast buffet was excellent, offering diverse cuisine that kept us satisfied throughout our stay.
